AT THE MOMENT THE HOUSEBOAT IS IN A DIFFERENT LOCATION DUE TO WORK ON THE QUAY IT HAS BEEN RELOCATED TO THE ZOUTKEETSGRACHT 7K, WHICH IS 10 MINUTES WALK FROM THE ORIGINAL LOCATION. 

THE HOUSEBOAT WILL GO BACK TO HER ORIGINAL LOCATION ON JUNE 20TH 2024.

Houseboat description

Houseboat Bluewater is a lovely houseboat situated on one of the most beautiful canals in Amsterdam. The area is favored by many locals because of it’s authenticity and atmosphere. It is the lovely Jordaan area with many quaint shops, nice restaurants and café's. AT THE MOMENT IT IS 10 MIN WALK AWAY FROM THE JORDAAN AREA

The studio is part of a whole houseboat, totally private from the other part of the houseboat. It has beautiful large sliding windows which gives you the most amazing view across the canal at the 400 year old warehouses with their beautiful colorful shutters.

The studio has a very comfortable double bed with a ceiling fan for the warmer nights. It also has central heating. A tv with Netflix. It has a small ‘kitchenette’ with fridge, microwave, coffeemachine teakettle but WITHOUT a sink. 
There is a small seating area in front of the large window.

A private bathroom with double vanity and glass shower stall and a separate private toilet. There is a ledge outside the sliding window with a small bench to sit and watch the pleasure boats go by or feed the swans and ducks.

For your welcome there will be a bottle of wine waiting for you in the fridge. There are 2 bikes at your disposal. Enjoy your stay!

How to get there

Amsterdam Airport is close to the city, it will take 20 minutes by taxi. The train will run 4x an hour and takes you 15 minutes and walking from the station about 10/15 minutes to the houseboat.

About the area

The area is ‘the Jordaan’. There is a twice weekly market/farmers market just opposite and around the corner of the houseboat. Many restaurants, cafes, outdoor terrasses and shops around. Many sights close by. Supermarket and grocery stores very close. The famous Haarlemmerdijk is just 200 meters away. It is a very happy, fun loving, bustling area and yet not as busy as other parts of Amsterdam. Sometimes the canal looks and feels like a 18th century fishing village.

THE HOUSEBOAT WILL BE RELOCATED BEGINNING OF SEPTEMER 2022 UNTILL 20 JUNE 2024 TO THE ZOUTKEETSGRACHT 7K BECAUSE OF CONTRUCTION WORK ON THE BROUWERSGRACHT QUAY. THE ZOUTKEETSGRACHT IS ALSO A VERY NICE HISTORICAL LOCATION.

    Perfect

    Great location, 10 min walk from central station. Enough boat traffic to 'people watch' during the day from the balcony or the sliding glass door, and quite enough to have a romantic drink while watching the sun set over the canals. Host kept in touch through the whole process.

    Excellent location

    Really handy location. Lots of nice shops, bars and restaurants close by. The houseboat has everything that you need for a comfortable stay. We were left a lovely bottle of wine, coffee etc so we didn’t have to rush to get provisions for that on our first day. Beautiful location to sit out and watch the boats and life along the canal. Great host and we would love to stay again!

    You really can't beat the location of this houseboat! Jordaan is a vibrant, quaint and beautiful neighborhood that is a little quieter and a little more local than the busier parts of Amsterdam.

    Dream Come True

    We stayed for 3 nights on Houseboat Blue Water. Right from the get go we experienced fantastic service. Communication and directions were clear. The boat and the location are just amazing. The pictures on the site don't do it justice. Staying in a houseboat has always been a bucket list dream and to say all our expectation were exceeded is an understatement. Danielle and especially Diana, just went out of her way to make our stay in Amsterdam a special one. We'll never forget this amazing trip and our stay on this incredible houseboat.

    Unfortunately, the boat was not properly heated and therefore smelled of moisture. The shower was moldy, the toilet lid was broken. The cleaning lady came too early on the last day, which was not very pleasant for us either. The current location is nice and central. All in all ok, but unfortunately too expensive for what it is.

    Hello Julia, I am sorry that your stay was disappointing. We strive to make our guests as comfortable as possible, which is reflected in our high rating. It is very unfortunate that you did not heat the boat properly and it was therefore damp. But there is central heating on board, with a thermostat that you can turn up and down. So you can make it as warm as you want and then there is no damp feeling. Too bad you didn't just turn up the thermostat, then you wouldn't have this problem. We will fix the other things as soon as possible. I hope you still had a great time in beautiful Amsterdam.
